Why we've been quiet—and what's coming soon

Hi everyone,

First of all, thank you for being here, and for your support. we will bear witness began as a desire to document what is going on around the world, through the bodies of those living it. We’ve been doing this for almost 18 months now and collated stories in every imaginable medium, and been grateful to do this work.

You may have noticed a pause in the activity on here, and we’re grateful to those of you who have hung on despite our silence. I’m sorry for that, truly. That silence was necessary, though, to emerge from the quiet with a new idea of how to tell these stories.

We’re rebranding this substack, and ‘we will bear witness’ will remain as a section on a site whose mission is to discover: What to do for a world in crisis?

All I can ask is you stay tuned in this time. We’ve paused your paid subscriptions for now and will re-open them after we announcing this expansion.
